Counselors Say It Like It Is

A Podcast for Mental Health Professionals

Montage by Victor Bloomberg, March 8, 2024

Counselors, from beginners to experts, talk about what they have learned while serving others.

Listeners will hear interviews and discussions among practicing and retired counselors. Some of the content is drawn from archival audio, such as recordings that contributed to Transformative Psychotherapy and Telehealth by Dr. Vic Bloomberg. The podcasts are free to share for noncommercial, educational and training purposes.

Podcasting is a new endeavor of mine. The goal is to share conversations with people who are accomplished in the healing arts. What do I mean by “healing arts”? These are ways through which people reclaim their humanity, dignity and vibrancy. There are five broad ways people do this: improving self-care, getting a little help from friends, being part of a good “village”, engaging in a cause greater themselves, and telling their story in a safe, respectful space. Two podcasts is now available. You will notice the sound is not perfect, but it’s pretty good. My son is my technical coach and he gave me a B+ : )
